original building, lovely balcony, basic kitchen
The room's lack of hooks and hangers was frustrating!!! The bathroom cleanliness could certainly use improvement!!! A better layout to accommodate light and airflow would make a significant difference!!!

the place could have been lovely, but alas, the wireless was practically non-existant, and the noise from the upstairs guests was unbearable. I woudl ve been grateful for even a token upgrade after such chaos, however I guess they don't cater to people who value their peace and quiet as one would expect. just couldn't give a good review.

Here’s what worked – and what didn’t
Service at this lodge is exceptional especially from Uncle Patrick who goes out of his way to make guests comfortable. The location is fantastic right in front of the waterfront with easy access to attractions.
The rooms are somewhat dated and in need of some maintenance. The lack of a lift may be challenging for those with mobility issues.

I really enjoyed my time here, especially making great use of the cozy shared kitchen and the lovely balcony area for evening relaxation. The only downside was the need to go to the lobby for an iron, which was a bit of a hassle with kids. If you’re around, definitely check out the local food scene. it’s fantastic! 😊

The location near the Sarawak River is perfect for family outings, with local markets and delicious eats just a stroll away. My children especially loved exploring the nearby shops. We enjoyed some great family time at the lodge's cozy balcony while watching the events unfold down below.
My children wished there were more convenient options for getting hot water and a kettle in the room.
